2.0 – The user must have an ‘I Rule!’ experience

Categories: Innovation, Social Web

This comes from Jeremiah Owyang‘s blog

Web 1.0 [Like Las Vegas casinos, websites were previously designed to Centralize customers and make it difficult for them to leave]

Web 2.0 [Now, customers are creating their own communities in the ’streets’ we must plan for a Distributed Web Strategy as we join the party]

After I read Jeremiah’s post, came up to my mind what Kathy Sierra said last week in Berlin (Germany) during the Web 2.0 Expo

Kathy Sierra

“The user must have an ‘I Rule!’ experience”… and it’s true!

So to link back to what Jeremiah wrote we have to keep in mind that today the focus has to be on the customers and on their ‘street parties’… they define the rules, they choose and even create the games that they like to play!

Now from my point of view what is crazy it’s seeing that for some ‘casino owners’ is still difficult to open their eyes on the reality of the facts!

It’s not that hard to understand… evolve or face extinction.
