This is a real mystery.
This morning I realized that all the posts and comments of the last 30 days disappeared from my blog.
Strange huh!?… but anyway no problem, in 5 minutes I republished the missing content using the data present in the rss feeds. The sad thing was that I lost also all the recent drafts that were ready to be published.
I checked the database where..guess what? there was no track of the ‘ghost’ data.
I kept thinking about it and I decided to write, save (but not publish) a new post in which I was explaining what happened. I didn’t publish the new post because I was in a hurry and I would have preferred to read&check it for eventual mistakes before mark it as public.
The surprise came this afternoon when after a long day of meetings all the data started reappearing on my blog like nothing happened. Everything was back, and the new ‘re-published’ posts plus the new draft were gone.
Isn’t it weird?
At first I thought that I’ve been hacked again (thanks god this time I didn’t lose all my archive), but now I honestly don’t know what to think?!
My apology to all my subscribers for the duplicated feeds, news letters, twitter updates etc. that might have been related to the re-publishing process of this morning.
Any similar experiences? or this will remain a blog mystery?
