Branding: More than just ‘free goods’

Categories: Business, Innovation, Strategy

Everyone wants something for free. So what do brands do? They offer free goods, free prices, free, free, free. What does this have to do with their products and their organizations? Nothing.

Brands spend a whole bunch of money and what they get is a whole bunch of people with their free goods but nothing really moves in terms of sales… Sounds familiar?

My Grandfather took this photo 60 years ago when he was living in Canada. Yes he is a Canadian citizen (that’s the only reason why I grew up speaking English :) ) and yes it was 60 years ago.

Free sliced water melons were working 60 years ago! Don’t you think that TODAY in this new digital marketing era brands have better chances of establish a relationship with their customers?
