The real side of 1938media

Categories: Social Web

2009 is my 10th anniversary as entrepreneur. During these years I met lots of people but just a few like Loren and Michelle. If you are a regular subscriber you already heard about them.

So why do I care about Loren and Michelle? Because they are authentic, and if there’s one thing that is often missing in this industry that’s authenticity. I know it seems like a paradox because everyone keeps talking about transparency etc. but it’s true. It’s full of overnight-self-made experts but there’s a lack of genuine people.

At 1938media they do video. If you want good web videos for your organization they are the guys you have to talk with. Disclosure: no, we never worked together, we are just good friends, but yes I recommend them because they are damn good at it. That’s the real side of it, that’s the point. Loren and Michelle do one thing, they do it damn well and they are 100% genuine & honest about it. Now think about how many other people like that you know or you have done business with. Not many huh… Well yes, Loren is straight upfront and many don’t get it but at least he is honest and although at times it might sound extreme his criticism follows always a constructive line.

During my trip to New York I went to visit them with with Leah D’ Emilio (she rocks). We had a really nice american-mexican dinner and a good coffee at dunkin’ donuts. I was really happy also to meet John Rosenfelder (@earbender)! I brought them a bottle of wine from Italy and they made this video. I knew Loren would have added his drama and magic touch to it… I loved it. Whether you get it or not he is an artist.

@Michelle & Loren: It was nice to see you again after last time we met in Europe. Keep up the great work and see you next time!

Couldn’t agree more. I only met them once, this year in Dublin, but would call them friends, too. For a similar reason. And because they are, you might be surprised, really nice.
Interesting we like the sane people again. :)

@Wolfgang: Yes they are really nice… and BTW I hope to see you soon again too! Wish you the best for your next step… I’m sure you’ll rock!

    Hi Andrea,

Good to see this post from you — and even though I’ve been following you on twitter for a while, this was the first time we got to see you live.

Great gesture on your part…how does that vintage taste?

@Adam: The vintage is really good… perfect for fish, a good pasta or appetizers. Light, sparkling, fresh, slightly fruity ;)

Like a good Pinot Grigio then…where to try? Where to buy?

        • http://www.andreavascellari.com Andrea Vascellari

A Verduzzo is a bit ‘easier’ than a Pinot Grigio…but I love them both. Where to buy it? I’m sure there’s plenty of places online where you can get a bottle, but I would probably suggest you at ask to Gary @garyvee he is pure energy and he can give you good tips on where to get a good bottle ;) Or otherwise I can get you a bottle if you happen to be in Paris in December for LeWeb or somewhere else close to my tour stops!
