Share

Episode: VMC #142 – …In a Digital Era

Last Saturday the Federation of Finnish Enterprises invited me to deliver an opening keynote for an entrepreneurs meetup that took place in Ylihärmä (Finland). My presentation focused on how to use social media to conduct a better business in this digital era.

  1. Introduction about the growing importance that social media communication is gaining in our businesses.
  2. The power of social media in reaching pioneers, early adopters and influencers that then can help us in spreading the potential of our ideas.
  3. Role of social media in management. How we can do a better management in our companies thanks to strategic use of social media tools. Few practical examples (skpye, google docs, twitter, Get Satisfaction, etc.).
  4. The network effect. Few case studies of big and small companies/entrepreneurs that took their business to the next level thanks to a smart use of the web and social media.
  5. UPDATE: Here you find 10 takeaways for entrepreneurs that I shared at the end of my presentation. These are advices that go beyond the web itself.

Here you have a short video of the first 10 min. which covers just the first point (listed above) of my presentation:

@Influencers @Geeks @Social-Media-Veterans: Keep in mind that the slides, the examples and the case studies I used are based on needs expressed by the organizers of the event. The information contained in this presentation was directed to a non-web-savvy audience.
