[Keynote] Social Media in Education
Episode: VMC #144 – Social Media in Education
This is the keynote on ‘Social Media in Education’ that I delivered yesterday at ITK in Hämeenlinna, Finland.
ITK – Interactive Technology in Education, is the largest conference in Finland related to information and communication technology in educational use.
My presentation focused on:
- Social media introduction to educators.
- Sometu (English), a group that I created for English speaking people in Sometu -a fast growing social network (counting over 1200 members in Apr.’09) dedicated to social media & learning.
- Shift in education. The world is changing and students are demanding more.
- Concrete examples of how to use social media in education.
The event was packed with people and inspiring session. This is the video of my keynote, you find also the slides below.
